Class of 2022 - VCE Results
Congratulations to the Simonds Year 12 Class of 2022 for their persistence and resilience in the face of two previous years of disrupted schooling. Despite these challenges, they were able to readjust to the rigors and structure of onsite classes and achieved some impressive results. The College had a cohort of 58 students pursuing their VCE and 7 students working towards their VCAL certificate. I am delighted to report that all 58 students successfully completed their VCE.
Our median VCE Study Score was 29, falling just short of the state average. The Dux of the College was Luca Mezzavilla with an ATAR of 94.00. We wish to congratulate him on a fantastic result. He has accepted a position at Monash University studying Science/Engineering.
It was encouraging to see that nearly 75% of the Year 12 cohort gained an ATAR over 60 (putting them in the top 40% of the state), allowing them access to many of the high demand university courses.
This year, 53 Simonds students applied for tertiary places and 52 have received a tertiary offer (an amazing 98.1%). It is justifiable for us to feel proud that our mission, which aims to provide hope for the future, is tangible and visible.
